Aspects are optional perks that can be equipped at the start of a run. They make the run significantly easier at the cost of unlocking new Boss Stem Cells and unlocking a flawless boss achievement. They are provided by an NPC that can be found in the starting area of the Prisoners' Quarters, but only one can be chosen per run.
The first three aspects are unlocked after the introductory runs are completed. To unlock more aspects, one must simply die. For every death, a new aspect is unlocked.
